Help me communicate, understand, and advocate for my Neurodivergent child

I was recently diagnosed with Autism, what’s next for me

Executive dysregulation and camouflaging are causing burnout and decreased performance

I’m feel like I’m hitting a wall — and I need support that truly understands how I work

Whether you’re navigating early childhood, adolescence, or adulthood, you don’t have to figure this out alone.

How Closer Horizons Helps

At Closer Horizons, we offer a combination of:

Horizon Circles
(Small Groups)

Skills-based groups that focus on emotion regulation, coping strategies, social skills, and real-life problem solving—so your child or teen doesn’t feel alone in their struggles.

Counseling & Skills Training Sessions

One-on-one support that blends modified CBT, coaching, and goal-setting methods to reduce the impact of symptoms. We’ll practice specific evidence based strategies that can be used at home, at school, work and in the community.

Strengths-Based Evaluations

Comprehensive evaluations that highlight strengths, learning styles, and support differences. Each evaluation includes a diagnosis, actionable recommendations tailored for accommodations, and follow-up advocacy support as needed.

People deserve to be understood at every stage of life— not just managed or labeled. Schedule a consultation and move forward with a personalized plan to meet your goals.

Support for Every Stage of Life

I’m Dr. Kenya Guarnieri, a licensed psychologist and school psychologist with over 14 years of experience supporting individuals and families across settings and stages of life. My approach goes beyond diagnosis to provide meaningful insight and practical next steps you can use.

I view differences as strengths—part of what makes each person unique, not something to be “fixed.” That’s why I use strengths-based approaches that honor who you are while helping you grow in the areas that matter most.

If what you’re reading feels like the right fit, I’d be glad to connect—give us a call to get started.
