I was recently diagnosed with Autism, what’s next for me

Executive dysregulation and camouflaging are causing burnout and decreased performance

I feel like I’m hitting a wall — and I need support that truly understands how I work

Whether you’re navigating early childhood, adolescence, or adulthood, you don’t have to figure this out alone. You’ll work with a specialist who understands how these patterns show up across the lifespan.

How Closer Horizons Helps

At Closer Horizons, we offer a combination of:

Skills-Based Support

Individual or group-based (Horizon Groups) support targeting executive functioning, flexibility, and social-emotional skills for children, teens, and adults. You’ll benefit from our expertise and specialized training in working with people who think and communicate in unique ways.

Therapy and Counseling

Individualized support focused on emotional regulation, self understanding, and meaningful, lasting change. We use a variety of methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy.

Psychological Evaluations

Comprehensive, strengths-based assessments that clarify attention, learning, autism and emotional functioning. You won’t just leave with a diagnosis, you’ll also have clear, practical recommendations for home, school/work, and therapy.

At Closer Horizons you’ll work with a provider specializing in neurodiversity, evaluations, and development across the lifespan.

I’m Dr. Kenya Guarnieri, a licensed psychologist and school psychologist specializing in neurodiversity and comprehensive evaluations with over 14 years of experience supporting individuals and families across settings and stages of life.

I view differences as strengths—part of what makes each person unique, not something to be “fixed.” That’s why I use strengths-based approaches that honor who you are while helping you grow in the areas that matter to you the most.
